Current Research Interests:

* Improved utilisation of feed through understanding rumen   ecology and metabolism
* Studies on the production of Lactobacillus as a probiotic in reducing fat and cholesterol in chicken
* Effect of Lactobacillus culture, use as probiotics, on intestinal and systemic immunity of chickens
* Effect of Lactobacillus as a probiotic on layers and egg quality
* Up-scaling of mixed Lactobacillus culture used as a probiotic for chicken
* Development of rapid identification for Ganoderma boninense pathogenic to oil palm
* Enhancing utilisation of phytate compounds of feeds by microbial phytase in chicken.
