Zone 7: Pitcher Plants

A unique climber which has a cup at the tip of the leaf. The cup contains water that can trap insects. Insects are digested to provide nutrients for the plants. About 10 species of pitcher plants have been reported in Peninsular Malaysia. Example: Nepenthes ampullaria.
