POGRAMME REQUIREMENT

MSc with Thesis

• Compulsory courses - Seminar proposal (SPS 5903) and Master's Thesis (SPS 5999).

• The thesis will be examined and viva voce will be conducted in the final semester to determine the student's competency in the field of study.

PhD with Thesis

• The minimum credit requirement for graduation is 12 credits.

• Compulsory courses - Seminar proposal (SPS 6903) and PhD Thesis (SPS 6999).

• Students are required to pass Comprehensive Examination, which should be taken only after completion of all coursework within the 5 semesters of cumulative enrolment.

• The thesis will be examined and viva voce will be conducted in the final semester to determine the student's competency in the field of study.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENT

• Applicants should have a Bachelor degree in science with a minimum CGPA of 2.750 or equivalent

OR

• Applicants who do not fulfill the above requirement but with CGPA of 2.250 or equivalent, and a minimum of three-year working experience in the related field, may be considered.

• Applicants should have a Master degree in the related field

• Applicants with a Bachelor degree science in the relevant field with First Class (Hons.) will be consider for direct admission to the PhD programme.

PhD Programme : minimum period of two (2) years and a maximum period of five (5) years
MSc Programme : minimum period of one (1) years and a maximum period of three (3) years

Tuition fees are stipulated by School of Graduate Studies (GSO)
