She is the head for Cell Biology Unit, Department of Biomedical Science, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Universiti Putra Malaysia. She is also an active affiliate member of Young Scientist Network, Academy of Sciences Malaysia since 2016.
Her current research focus is experimental therapeutics of chronic inflammatory diseases, particularly on identification of molecular target through various signaling pathways. Throughout her career, she has published approximately 50 research and review articles mostly in Q1 or Q2 journals, 1 book chapter and 1 national policy. She has been awarded several international and local awards, including best oral or poster presenters, travel awards to attend international conferences, gold and silver awards in Exhibition of Invention, Research & Innovation Malaysia, as well as Science and Technology Research Grant (STRG) funded by Toray Science Foundation, Japan. She also owned two patents – “Use of Curcumin Analog BHMC in the Treatment of Endothelial Dysfunction and Related Disorders” and “2,4,6- Trihydroxy-3-Geranylacetophenone for Use as a Mast Cell Stabilizer”.
