14 February 2024 - The Aquatic Animal Health and Therapeutics Laboratory (AquaHealth), Institute of Bioscience, Universiti Putra Malaysia recently hosted a visit from students enrolled in the Bachelor of Applied Science Degree program, specializing in Animal Husbandry Science with Honours, at the Jeli Campus of Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK). This program encompassed visits to AquaHealth-Health Management and AquaHealth-Molecular laboratories. During the visit, laboratory coordinators provided comprehensive briefings to the students regarding the facilities and the practical application of equipment in research. The question and answer session proved to be engaging, with students expressing keen interest in studies related to vaccine production and effectiveness testing. Discussions also extended to potential opportunities for industrial training within AquaHealth and exploration of research activities. This visit and the collaborative efforts discussed are poised to mutually benefit the research domains of both institutions, contributing significantly to the advancement of the aquaculture industry.
